Congratulations to SLC\u2019s Head of Project Development, Paul McQuade, who has been elected as a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.<\/p>\n

Paul has over 30 years\u2019 experience in civil engineering and has been an ICE Professional Reviewer since 2014.\u00a0 This involves Paul giving up his time regularly to assess candidates working towards their professional qualifications.<\/p>\n

Fellowship is the highest grade of membership in the institution, recognising a high level of knowledge, ability and experience \u2013 fellows are required to evidence their contribution to the profession and are well respected in the industry for their expertise.<\/p>\n

He has been with SLC for three years and works with clients in the development of major rail projects.<\/p>\n

Paul said: \u201c\u201cI really value how the ICE promotes and supports the civil engineering profession, so I\u2019m honoured to be awarded this fellowship.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to continuing to get involved in ICE events and helping others embarking on this fulfilling career.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ian Walters, Managing Director of SLC Rail said: \u201cWe\u2019re all delighted that Paul has been elected as a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis further demonstrates his outstanding contribution to civil engineering over the past 30 years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paul has also helped SLC \u2013 which was recently revealed as one of the UK\u2019s Best Workplaces™ 2021 \u2013 to set up an Institution of Civil Engineers training scheme for the company.<\/p>\n
