SLC Rail, the new railway station specialist, is pleased to be supporting Worcester’s Big Parade, which went live on Tuesday, 13 July.\u00a0\u00a0The 6-mile art trail around the city features 30 large elephant sculptures and 36 calves and will remain in place until 5 September.<\/p>\n
SLC has sponsored Sundown Stroll, a large elephant sculpture which is located at The Cross and designed by local artist Kristina Butigan.\u00a0 The event aims to raise funds for locally based St Richard\u2019s Hospice.<\/p>\n
Ian Walters, Managing Director of SLC Rail said: “We are really pleased to be supporting this event, which will bring smiles to the faces of people in Worcester whilst raising money for a really good cause.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re used to working on creating new infrastructure, so it\u2019s been interesting to see a very different project come to life in a county that we often work in.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kristina Butigan said: “I\u2019m very proud to be part of the Worcester\u2019s Big Parade and to be working with a business that is aligned with my own values of community.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy design reflects the vibrant wilderness inhabited by the African Elephant and its herd; and the dazzling colours of a tropical sunset. It\u2019s also inspired by the African term: \u2018Ubuntu\u2019, the belief we are all defined by our compassion and humanity towards others.\u201d<\/p>\n
