{"id":2342,"date":"2022-06-21T14:19:14","date_gmt":"2022-06-21T13:19:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/slcrail.com\/?p=2342"},"modified":"2022-06-21T14:19:14","modified_gmt":"2022-06-21T13:19:14","slug":"slc-hosts-women-in-rail-anniversary-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/slcrail.com\/slc-hosts-women-in-rail-anniversary-event\/","title":{"rendered":"SLC hosts Women in Rail anniversary event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SLC, the rail station design and build specialist, welcomed over 40 people from across the rail industry to its offices in Birmingham\u2019s Brindleyplace on Thursday 16 June.<\/p>\n<p>The event &#8211; embracing\u00a0our uniqueness to create winning teams \u2013 is the first in a series of special events being held to celebrate 10 years of the Women in Rail charity.<\/p>\n<p>It was organised by SLC\u2019s Apprentice Engineering, Lucy Dyer, and it involved activities and networking.<\/p>\n<p>Sam Uren, Engineering Director of SLC Rail said: \u201cIt was fantastic to welcome so many people to our new office in Brindleyplace.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLucy worked hard to create an event that got people networking and having fun whilst demonstrating the importance of embracing our uniqueness.\u00a0 It was a very enjoyable evening.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Claire Burrows, Chair of West Midlands Regional Women in Rail Group, said:\u00a0 \u201cWe are very grateful for the support of SLC Rail in organising and hosting this special anniversary event for us.
