It&#8217;s also one of the largest third-party funded rail upgrades in the UK, developed by a local authority, showcasing the power of local authorities taking the lead on infrastructure development.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re proud to have worked on this project to help the local authority, Northumberland County Council, navigate complex rules around rail safety and design development, while also developing a strategic business case and procurement strategy for the project with AECOM.<\/p>\n<p>Congrats to everyone involved in this project and to all the other winners at the awards.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Northumberland Line has won the Major Project Award at the Modern Railways Railway Innovation Awards last week.
