{"id":853,"date":"2016-04-30T08:17:36","date_gmt":"2016-04-30T07:17:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/slcrail.com\/\/?p=853"},"modified":"2016-04-30T08:17:36","modified_gmt":"2016-04-30T07:17:36","slug":"second-span-laid-for-new-a45-bridge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/slcrail.com\/second-span-laid-for-new-a45-bridge\/","title":{"rendered":"Second span laid for new A45 bridge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Another significant milestone has been achieved in the construction of the A45 road bridge over the West Coast Main Line.<\/p>\n<p>Overnight on the 26\/27th March, two pairs of braced beams were lifted into position, forming the basis of the second span of the new, widened road crossing.<\/p>\n<p>The following weekend, the two pairs were braced together and GRP panels were laid across the beams. From this temporary platform, workers placed the steel reinforcement.
